How to Identify and Realign Blocked Chakras

Chakras are the seven pools of energy that swirl in our body, and when one or more of them become blocked, it can lead to physical and spiritual ailments. Stress, anxiety, negative emotions, poor dietary choices, lack of exercise, overexertion, and lifestyle choices such as overwork, drug use, or lack of sleep can all contribute to chakra blockages. Depending on the location of the pain or inflammation, arthritis can tell us which chakra is blocked. Most arthritis joins the root chakra or solar plexus chakra.

However, if your neck, back, legs, or arms hurt, it's best to look for these areas individually using this index. A blocked root chakra can manifest as physical problems such as arthritis, constipation, and bladder or colon problems, or emotionally through insecurity about our finances or our basic needs and well-being. When you are aligned and open, we will feel firm and secure, both physically and emotionally. Linked to the throat and vocal cords, a blocked throat chakra can lead to thyroid problems or a recurring sore throat.

Blockages can also be emotional or psychological, such as stored emotions from the past or mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression or addiction. Now that you know how to recognize when one or more of your chakras are blocked, let's look at some simple solutions to realign them. Ongoing stress, anxiety, or negative emotions can reduce our mind's ability to peacefully concentrate (meditate) on the movement of energy throughout our body. When our seven main chakras are open and balanced, energy can flow freely through our bodies and minds.

To restore the flow of energy to a blocked chakra, try yoga classes or seek out a healer who can help you align them all at once. If you experience any recurring pain or stiffness, read to see if a chakra imbalance could be the cause and find out how chakra balance could help. Some of the most common causes which create a blocked chakra are stress and anxiety. These have a direct influence on our body creating a tension within the body's tissues which then restricts the flow of Qi or Prana.

Problems related to willpower and self-esteem can arise if you tend to feel shy and unable to express your opinion in a meeting; it is your belly button chakra that is blocked. When any of these energy centers become blocked it leads to stagnation and can contribute to a variety of physical and spiritual ailments. After reading this you (like me) may feel that more than one chakra is unbalanced or blocked; this is because when one is blocked the other chakras begin to compensate and become hyperactive or underactive.
