Chakras where to begin?

They start at the root, or base, of the spine and extend to the crown of the spine. That said, some people believe that you have at least 114 different chakras in your body. The chakras most commonly referred to are the seven major chakras that we will explore in more detail below. When done intentionally, deep, conscious breaths can also restore your chakras.

Each inhalation directs energy to your chakra, while each exhalation allows awareness to settle in your chakras. This practice can open the chakras and restore harmonious balance to the mind, body and soul. There are different activities that can help open your root chakra, and you will be surprised to discover that they are quite simple to complete. Join leading chakra expert and energy healer Anodea Judith in this free masterclass as she reveals how to use this ancient energy system to live a balanced, complete and full life.

The Muladhara chakra (root); the Svadhisthana chakra (sacrum); the Manipura chakra (solar plexus); the Anahata chakra (heart); the Visuddhi chakra (throat); the Ajna chakra (third eye); and the Sahasrara chakra (crown). When this chakra is open, prejudices disappear from your thoughts and you seem to be more aware of the world and its connection to yourself. Before diving into how your chakras are connected to your well-being and what happens when they are blocked, you need to know the basics. The first chakra or muladhara in Sanskrit is located at the base of the spine and is represented by the color red.

The main component of how to open all chakras is to ground yourself with activities that connect you to the ground. While the theme of the first center is survival, the second chakra has to do with emotional and creative energy. An open crown chakra is said to foster greater awareness of your higher self and create an open channel of communication with your true self and the universe. Starting a creative project such as painting, drawing, dancing or singing is also a great way to activate and balance this chakra.

In Sanskrit, the word “chakra” is translated as “disk” and is representative of the fact that chakras are like rotating discs of energy that circulate through the body. The chakras also coincide with different sections of the vertebrae, affecting the corresponding parts of the body.
