What are the Symptoms of Blocked Chakras?

When our chakras are blocked, it can manifest in a variety of ways, both physically and emotionally. Physical imbalances can include headaches, blurred vision, sinus problems, eye strain, seizures, hearing loss, hormonal function, arthritis, constipation, bladder or colon problems. Emotionally, we may feel disemotional or disconnected from our life and the world around us, or that our inner child and imagination have disappeared. When a chakra is blocked, it can be due to either an underactive or hyperactive flow of energy.

An underactive chakra will manifest as fear, anxiety, insecurity, anger, frustration, attachment and money problems. A hyperactive chakra can cause physical blockages such as fat deposits in arteries, tumors, cysts or excess waste. It can also be caused by emotional or psychological blockages such as stored emotions from the past or mental illnesses like anxiety, depression or addiction. The root chakra is associated with physical problems such as arthritis, constipation and bladder or colon issues.

When it's aligned and open we'll feel firm and secure both physically and emotionally. The third eye chakra is associated with feeling disemotional or disconnected from our life and the world around us. The throat chakra is associated with headaches, blurred vision and sinus problems. The heart chakra is associated with problems with the heart, circulatory system and lungs. Knowing how to recognize the symptoms of blocked chakras is the first step in restoring the flow of energy to them.

Once we know what to look for we can begin to realign an obstructed chakra and restore balance to our body and mind.
